Obbligato Copper Caps

Postby njpolker » Wed May 27, 2009 9:37 pm

I have installed the Obbligato copper caps in my x-overs. To get the value I needed I had to run two caps piggyback. So with the two caps in direct contact with each other I decided to use heat shrink to insulate each capacitor. Any thoughts? Before I did this I heard static coming from my speakers.
Thanks

there is no internal electrical connection to the copper body so should be no problem. Just make sure no bare wires touch the copper tube..

Thanks for the information.
I wonder why when I had them touching, not the wires, I was hearing noise that sounded like static. Then when I moved them away from each other the static stopped.
